Mark is the youngest member of the band, he has a wide and powerful vocal range he known for singing the high notes in Westlife's songs.
He also like the other band members also take part in writing own songs. In summer 2005, Mark annouced that he was gay after spending many years avoiding the question about his sexuality. He announced that he was currently going out with ex boyband V singer Kevin McDaid from Tyneside.
